Angel Guardian Home
Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ Nigerian Region was founded by the German Province on 4th April, 2006. In Nigeria, we serve God and humanity and minister to the poor, the sick, the children and the less privileged through our schools, clinic and a home for the less privileged called Angel Guardian Home. Our Unique ministry is the Children’s home through which we have given shelter and hope to many hopeless children.
Gioja Nursery & Primary School
Gioja Nursery & Primary School which is run by Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ was started with the mission to help the poor people in Mgbele community and its neighborhood to have access to quality education. It is located in the Eastern part of the country. Since the inception of the school in 2009, many poor children have been privileged to be part of the scholarship scheme of Dr. Peter & Rita Caluori, who are the Swiss sponsors of the school. Their generosity will always be appreciated.
Garam Community Farm
As Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ ministering in Nigeria, the sisters are not only engaged in apostolate, ministry and pastoral work. They engage in farm work as well and in the Northern part of the country, precisely in Garam community, the sisters have a large scale farm where they cultivate various kinds of crops both for consumption and for sale. This is one of the ways they work towards sustainability.
Gioja Secondary School
Gioja Secondary School is a branch of Gioja Nursery & Primary school which is specifically for children between the ages of 10 and 18. The school was started in 2016 and just like the Nursery & Primary section, it is being sponsored by Dr. Peter and Rita Caluori from Switzerland. The school got government approval in 2022 and the first set of students took their final examination in the year 2022. Most of the students are on scholarship which is being taken care of by the sponsors.
