\u201cSharing Like St. Martin\u201d\n\u2013 Charity Event for India <\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The \u201cFriends of Katharina Kasper India\u201d<\/em> invite everyone on Tuesday, November 11<\/strong>, to a special charity event under the motto \u201cSharing Like St. Martin\u201d<\/em> in the foyer of the Herz-Jesu Hospital in Dernbach<\/strong>. The aim of the campaign is to support people in need in India through concrete assistance.<\/p>\n

This initiative continues a long-standing partnership that was established in 1998<\/strong>, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of the congregation\u2019s foundress, Saint Katharina Kasper<\/strong>, between the Indian Province of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ (Dernbach Sisters) and the parish of St. Bonifatius Wirges<\/strong>. After the departure of Fathers Winfried Karbach and Ralf Plogmann, this important work is now being continued by the \u201cFriends of Katharina Kasper India.\u201d<\/em> The group is affiliated with the Generalate of the Sisters in Dernbach<\/strong>, where it is also based.<\/p>\n

Campaign on St. Martin\u2019s Day<\/h4>\n

In keeping with St. Martin\u2019s Day<\/strong>, the feast of the saint known for sharing his cloak with a freezing beggar, the Friends of Katharina Kasper India<\/em>, together with the Dernbach Sisters<\/strong>, call for sharing and solidarity. In the hospital foyer, an Indian market cart<\/strong> will be set up where visitors can purchase Indian goods and donation cards in support of aid projects benefiting the Indian population.<\/p>\n

Concrete Support for Susheelakka<\/h4>\n

At present, the group is seeking help for Susheelakka<\/strong>, an unmarried woman in her late fifties who suffers from several chronic health conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes. These require regular monthly check-ups, medication, and diagnostic tests. Despite her small income as an assistant at a local center, Susheelakka also has to care for her ailing mother. The cost of living and medical care is far beyond her means.<\/p>\n

A recommended MRI<\/strong>, urgently advised a year ago, has not yet been done due to her financial hardship, leaving her in severe and recurring pain<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To provide effective support for one year, 30,000 rupees (around 300 euros)<\/strong> are needed.<\/p>\n

The Friends of Katharina Kasper India<\/em> are grateful for every contribution that helps Susheelakka and other people in need in India<\/strong>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
